Bug Description

kate packaging contains debian/patches/kubuntu_kate_initial_preference.patch to set the initial preference (which would force it to take priority on all mimtypes associated with, such as preventing libreoffice/calligra from opening .txt files).

BUT

on 2012-12-05 (r99) Riddell dropped debian/patches/series so it is not applied and has not been applied for half a year effectively making all of raring pre-releases, final and saucy snapshots open .txt files by default with libreoffice or calligra words. i.e. since neither LO nor C define an initial preference any of the three may be picked as deafult choice for .txt
