This is due to a change in the format of the location/weather database, please run the "upgrade-weather-indicator.py" script available here: https://launchpad.net/weather-indicator/2.0/13.05.28/+download/upgrade-weather-indicator.py

Thank you. That works. But why don't you run this script or one another recommended after previous version installing automatically withing upgrading or installing?

StSav012: Unfortunately, it's not that simple. The package manager runs the install/upgrade as root, so I can't run the script there (which I found out the hard way -- that's why the .28 upgrade was failing for some users).

Anyway, the latest unstable build will now automatically detect the old settings format and update it to the new one.

You can get it from the PPA here: https://launchpad.net/~weather-indicator-team/+archive/unstable
