I originally posted the report here:

And that seemed to have been fixed by downloading the latest service update package for Google Music. However, it doesn't fully fix the problem because now, when I check the "Hide Google Bar" option, there is a space between the play controls and the bottom the app as can be seen on this screenshot:

Pay close attention to the bottom of the window and you will see what I mean.
