Bug Description
When I try and start evolution, I get a ton of opengl errors from compiz and the app never launches to a usable state. This also affected Ubuntu 12.10

See if you can change the default size with dconf-editor. Use these commands:
sudo apt-get install dconf-tools
dconf-editor
Once dconf-editor is open, navigate to /org/gnome/ evolution/ shell/window
There, you should see settings for height and width. If they're 1902x30383, modify them to some sane value (480x640).
