Bug Description

Mute file Sharing is a peer-to-peer network that provides easy search-and-download functionality while also protecting your privacy :
http://mute-net.sourceforge.net/

This apps is getting more and more used however the install from source is still too tricky for beginners.
I think that a backport packages for this apps would greatly help the MUTE project and make the MUTE linux install as easy as on windows.

Thanks a lot, hope it is something doable.

Backports are only to use on feisty packages that are only on gutsy.

I don't know exactly where to make this kind of demand however, if somebody could show the way ?

Salut Frodon,

The package you are talking about is not yet in the Ubuntu (and Debian) archive. Before been backported, it first need to be packaged. I transform this backport request in packaging request. Once the package has hit the Ubuntu archive, feel free to ask the backport again.

Thanks for your interest in Ubuntu.

Thanks Lionel, you rock.

Indeed it's more a package request than a backport request, sorry for the mistake. Hope we will see this package one day in the ubuntu repositories.

Thanks both for the answers.

what kind of nonsense is this? No response from the original reporter? Ts, ts. The last entry was from the OP and the software is still unpackaged (and maybe never will be).
