Bug Description

Architecture : 64 bits
Operating System & version: Archlinux
Installation Method : pacman
Version of Openshot installed : 1.4.3
MLT/melt version: 0.9.0
FFmpeg (i.e.libavcodec) version : 1:1.2.1

when I start Openshot trough a console window, the output initially shows an error:

------------------------- ERROR 1 ------------------------------
Failed to import 'from openshot import main'
Error Message: cannot import name main
----------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------
   OpenShot (version 1.4.3)
--------------------------------
Process no longer exists: 1258. Creating new pid lock file.

Then it detects formats and filter with no further error message.

As soon as I load the Project I want to work on, it a few messages like:

on_mnuOpenProject_activate called with self.GtkImageMenuItem
[mp3 @ 0x33ceb20] max_analyze_duration 5000000 reached at 5015510 microseconds
[mp3 @ 0x33cfe80] max_analyze_duration 5000000 reached at 5015510 microseconds
[producer_xml] failed to load filter "volume"
[producer_xml] failed to load filter "volume"
[producer_xml] failed to load filter "volume"
[producer_xml] failed to load filter "volume"
[producer_xml] failed to load filter "volume"
.
.
.

appear.

Now every time I hit play with a track or clip set to mute, the message:

[producer_xml] failed to load filter "volume"
[producer_xml] failed to load filter "volume"
[producer_xml] failed to load filter "volume"
[producer_xml] failed to load filter "volume"

appears and nothing is muted ether playback or exported video.

I am experiencing the same issues. I'm also running Archlinux and got the same versions of Openshot, ffmpeg and MLT installed.
Everything worked fine until about a week ago. About that time a new version for MLT became available, so I assume OpenShot can not yet handle MLT 0.9.0. I will check whether downgrading solves the problem for now if I have some spare time tomorrow.

I can confim that everything works fine when downgrading to openshot 1.4.3-1, mlt 0.8.8-4 and mlt-python-bindings 0.8.8-4

Thank you for your effort, great job!
This proves: it's no fault to look back, if you're on the bleeding edge and something goes wrong.

Well, the test project I couldn't mute with the new versions now worked with the -1(OpenShot) and -4(mlt) downgrade, but when I started a new project OpenShot crashed on adding a .MTS file. Fortunately there was a discussion on the Arch forum from -4 times where they figured out, that it's an issue with mlt 0.8.8-4 and you have to go back to -2. Now it works.
