Bug Description
As the title describes , in this case the links don't work.
A workaround is to add " to the xdg-open command in the quicklist.
For example :
xdg-open /home/bob/folder with spaces <-- this doesn’t work
xdg-open /home/bob/"folder with spaces" <-- it works!
I think this should be done from the program automatically.

Easy fix... Attached is a patch. If you could please confirm that it fixes your issue, I will commit it and release an update.
