I'm using 13.04, and I see ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for Canonical letting
this nasty bug cause such problems. I cannot get rid of it.

re-installing, removing not working, haven't yet sat and figured out how to manually remove it. Ubuntu 13.04 (new install, not an upgrade).
