Bug Description

I'm unfortunately behind a proxy, and there is no way to specify a proxy in apport-retrace and it doesn't use the proxy I exported with "export http_proxy=http://url.to.proxy"

How can we set this up automatically for users? Can we use the gnome proxy settings?

For the meantime, can I just add https_proxy="http://xxxx:xxxx" in ~/.bashrc ? I don't think this file is read until bash is started unless you change something else.

this is a bug!!

i have personal user(not root) who have setting up proxy in configuration and all progs work fine, but apport won't sent trough proxy because apport use 'root' privileges and root environment ... i never login in system as root and never setup proxy in root config files. apport must have own option field not environment.
