Bug Description

[Lenovo X230i]: No display on second screen through Display Port

Problem:

When connecting a second display through the Display port, the primary screen will flicker as normal yet the second screen remains completely black. Windows will open on the second screen, yet are not visible.

This issue was found when attempting a workaround for bug#964231. With the default 12.04.2 kernel 3.5.0-23 the second display will show properly however there a significant downgrade of system performance after connected a secondary monitor after the machine has resumed from suspend.

Can you please boot with drm.debug=0xe added to the kernel command line, and attach the dmesg as well as /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

Marking this as invalid (unreproducible)

This particular machine has passed certification.

Retested, and Secondary display is fine through display port.
