Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

After a recent update in Gutsy, I booted my laptop to find a warning from gnome-power-manager that my batteries only had 97% power left and the system would be shutdown immediately. I disabled g-p-m's option to shutdown when the batteries are low, and it kept chugging along. An hour later, it's reporting the batteries are 67% charged but estimating only ten minutes of power left, but really the system has about two hours of charge.
