Just to add that the software centre is probably related to system updates.

I also noticed that the URLs for the scripts all lead to 404 errors (page not found). Could you please advice what from what page do these scripts come from? In addition, could you tell if you use any extensions or addons in your browser? Thanks in advance.

Blogspot can sometimes be resource heavy and slow down your browser. Can you tell me if your computer is very old?

This issue is very likely to be related to the crash in your graphics driver, which is reported as bug 1191334. If you believe that they are separate issues (or if you just want to check it, you may wish to follow the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs#Hangs.2C_or_excessive_CPU_usage. However, if you decide follow the linked guidance, you would need to open a new bug with apport as required at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs#Use_Apport. Therefore, I am closing this bug report. Thank you again for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please submit any future bugs you may find.
