Bug Description

On the phone, autopilot tests get interrupted by the screen locking. Autopilot should prevent the screen from being locked while running tests.

Hi Michael,

Won't this be different on the phone to on the desktop? If it's the same
now, isn't it likely that it will be different in the future?

Also, why is the lock screen kicking in at all? Surely autopilot activity
should prevent it from starting?

Cheers,

No idea what it is on the desktop. The posted config works on the phone and has
been introduced recently (So I guess it won't change any more unless some
issues with this show up). If this is the same as on the desktop, even better.

When starting up the shell it can easily happen that a test needs to wait more
than 15 secs until everything has settled which seems to be more than the
current timeout :/

Michael

Hi,

I think at this stage the fix should go in the shell autopilot test suite, at least until we're more certain that this is applicable across all platforms. I've assigned this to Omer, since he's the QE for unity 8.

Changed in unity:
assignee: nobody → Omer Akram (om26er)
Changed in autopilot:
status: New → Won't Fix
assignee: nobody → Thomi Richards (thomir)
Stephen M. Webb (bregma)
Changed in unity (Ubuntu):
