Favourite won't register

The favourite star needs to be saved twice when modifying exsiting contact.

There are a few problems here. Here is one easy case to reproduce:
Build 138
Galaxy Nexus

1) Add new contact
2) type in first name and last name
3) Press save
4) Press edit
5) Press star to make a favorite
6) Press save - NOTE: favorite is saved
7) Press edit
8) Add mobile phone
9) press save
10) phone number saved but favorite is GONE (bug)
11) Press edit
12) Press start to make favoirte
13) press save
14) favorite is saved
15) Press edit and add another phone number
16) Press save
17) favorite is GONE (bug)

Please make the hit target on the star for favorite larger so its easier to enable.

Seems to be fixed in build 140.

I managed to reproduce this bug still in build 140.
The fix is under review and should be available soon.

There is still a problem after testing with the merged branch above. If you create a new contact that only has first and last names filled in but no other data, you can't favorite them. It never gets saved.

1) phone-app
2) contacts
3) "Add"
4) fill in first and last name
5) save the contact
6) open the contact
7) press favorite button
8) press back on toolbar and verify it's marked as favorite (this works)
9) close the app
10) reopen the app and the contact is no longer marked as favorite
