Bug Description

This bug is on a m14x alienware laptop. I have no sound at all. I have tried alsamixer and has made no difference. I have
this in syslog on boot

Firmware files for the Creative CA0132 HD-audio codec were added in linux-firmware 1.107. Ubuntu 13.04 "Raring Ringtail" is using the older linux-firmware 1.106 package.

I have installed ubuntu 14.04 and this is still an issue for me. I would be happy if I could just get sound out of headphones and not the speakers. I can manually switch it if need be. If there is a way for me to manually apply the proper firmware please let me know. Thanks
