This is related to, if not a duplicate, of bug #977713.

It's related but not duplicated, since the fact that session-installer crashes when not finding the catalogue is itself a bug. It doesn't crash in Ubuntu 13.04, although the catalogue cannot be found.

A couple possible solutions I see -

1. Change gnome-cards-data to 'Recommend' as opposed to 'Suggest' dependency. This would be easiest, but some folks may not like it if it adds size to the installer. (Is aisleriot part of the installer?)

2. Add "Is gnome-cards-data package installed?" to the error message so it's not as vague.

Or simply asking the user if he wants to install the needed package.

run sudo apt-get install gnome-cards-data and the error message is gone.

So I think the program should actually run the command if someone clicks the link 'Install more card themes'
Or the gnome-cards-data should be installed together with the game

I think that simply running the command is the best solution.

In later versions of aisleriot there isn't an option to install further card themes although additional themes are available if the package "gnome-cards-data" is installed. This change (tested in impish) makes this bug report invalid due to changes in later version of the package.
