When OpenACS + its modules (at least aolserver4-nspostgres and aolserver4-nssha1) are installed in ubuntu (ubuntu precise 12.04) the symbols Ns_DbDriverInit and Ns_ModuleInit are missing)

[17/May/2013:01:52:35][11010.3074049728][-main-] Warning: modload: could not find Ns_DbDriverInit in /usr/lib/aolserver4/bin/nspostgres.so

Most probably, one has to add "-Wl,--no-as-needed" to the CFLAGs

Everybody facing this problem can fix this temporarily without waiting until the fix is played back into the ubuntu channels. Get the debian sources, add the flag yourself, repackage and install the debian package. For details, see here: http://openacs.org/forums/message-view?message_id=4074442
