Bug Description

I've been trying to get this sound card (Creative Recon3D) to function in Linux since the day support for it was formally added for it in the Linux kernel back in 3.5. I've been trying to get sound from this card with every single kernel since then with every release of Ubuntu. This is now Ubuntu 13.10 and I still don't have sound with kernel 3.9 and latest firmware. No, there is absolutely no sound from ALSA playback at all. Yes, it is detected by Linux, and I see the modules for CA0132 get loaded, but there is absolutely no sound at all.

Heyyo,

Now on the latest versions of the Linux Kernel? All of the Sound Blaster Recon 3D sound cards all work perfectly fine in 32bit. I believe it was kernel 3.9 that added a compatible driver... sadly though the kernel's built in driver doesn't seem to work in 64bit. :(

Tested with Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Fedora, Linux Mint. All the same results. 32bit works perfect but 64bit doesn't work properly if at all. It's definitely the kernel that makes the differenc
