Bug Description
Inkscape continues to re associate, for instance, *.pdf with inkscape.
I repeatedly edit the 'mimeinfo.cache and defaults.list files in /usr/share/
I am one or two edits away from removing inkscape from my systems.
Any ideas Why this continues to happen?
Landis.
openSuSE 12.3, KDE 4.10.2, All updates. (one user, me and I have not launched inkscape from root account).

I only found this because Firefox uses the /usr/share/ applications/ defaults. list (symlink pointing to /var/cache/ gio-2.0/ gnome-defaults. list) for it's 'default' application list. every couple of days, weeks, when I choose to view a pdf at a site, I want Okular to open and view the file, but when the 'always ask' dialog comes up, 'Inkscape' is listed as 'open with' and in the drop-down list, Okular is no longer listed and inkscape is listed as 'default'. This can Not be changed in firefox > preferences > applications. It must be done (in opensuse, kde) in these two files: /usr/share/ applications/ defaults. list and mimeinfo.cache.
Hope this can help you help me (us)..
Thank you.
