gnome-panel-printers cannot detect usblp printer

Bug Description

The default gnome printer control panel cannot detect usblp printers. After I edited the .desktop for the unity printer control panel so that it would display in gnome I was able to use it to detect the printer.

dmesg and cups error_log attached.
