Bug Description
LMDE pack 6, Mate, 32bit
video card nv34
Device Driver Manager will not unload nouveau,
selecting any other video driver (nv, fb, vesa) does not remove nouveau.
Tried removing nouveau via synaptic
rebooted into expected failed X
sudo rm /etc/x11/xorg.conf
reboots to failsafe fbdev
install nv173xx drivers etc..
use DDD and selected Nvidia drivers

LMDE lacks a recovery menu,
my suggestion would be a reset X option into failsafe mode
but grub2 will not allow grub menu access with one linux system (a horrid design IMO)
