Bug Description

not much to add, reinstalled mythbuntu yesterday, using current 12.04. the frontend on a separate machine complained about schema being 8 versions behind. A little googling indicated that I should update the mythtv to .26, the default seems to be .25. Went thru the control centre made the changes, ran the upgrade manager, which insisted I did a partial upgrade, it downloaded 16 files then moved on to the install and showed some text in a "terminal window" in the gui and the little orange bar did it's left & right dance, 40mins later it is still doing the same, no indication of getting any further, the orange bar is getting no bigger but is still doing its dance

btw
AMD triple core ~3Gig processor and 4Gb ram

I don't think this is a mythtv bug, but rather update-manager bug. I'm unsure why update-manager didn't actually set the gnome frontend rather for debconf. If it had you would have gotten a popup window instead of a really confusing terminal window drop down.
