Bug Description

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
free_cb_list (cbl=0xb001200002b08) at advfs.cc:56
56 if(cbl->next) free_cb_list(cbl->next);
(gdb) cd advancecomp-1.9_create_compressed_fs/
Working directory /home/mdz/cloop-2.01.5/advancecomp-1.9_create_compressed_fs.
(gdb) file advfs

assume the architecuture is i386-linux

was the same binary debugged before?
how was the first segfault triggered?

"/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1".

I attached the the file server.c
I compiled with gcc -Wall -g server.c -o server

I did it with through a ssh connection

This source code does not runs correctly on my friend's computer (where there is
the bug) whereas on mine (I don't have ubuntu) I have no problems (and gdb runs
correctly)

closing this report. gdb works for me in general, it doesn't crash every program.

for the original bug report you may want to recheck with a recent version of gdb
in Ubuntu dapper (6.3.90.20051119-1ubuntu1)
