Bug Description

I'm using Kubuntu 13.04. Since the upgrade, I can't use the power management features related to the monitor on my laptop when using external monitors. Once the screen is blacked for power management, I can't bring it back to life. Neither keyboard nor mouse show any reaction, and I also cannot login remotely anymore. This does not happen when I'm using just the laptop screen.

Try without i915.i915_enable_fbc=1 as it is disabled due to it being buggy and can potentially deadlock the system... Which sounds like it should explain your hang.

Thanks for the suggestion - that seems to have fixed it.

Thanks for the testing result, there is a known deadlock in the upstream kernel that I guess I should be fixing... As the default is for fbc=0 on released kernels, enabling it is at your own risk - ergo not a bug in Ubuntu per se.
