Improve documentation for -f/--files option

I've received some feedback about the -f/--files command line option that
claims it's difficult to use because it's unclear what would be a good value to
pass to it. Consequently, it would be a good idea to have a look at how to
improve its documentation and maybe provide an example in the manual page that
makes easier to start using it.
