Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde-guidance

I installed the 29 May updates, rebooted, and find that both the powermanager and displayconfig-restore programs (whatever they are) crash just as before.

I still have a pair of nVidia cards with the (shudder) proprietary driver (as the OS version doesn't handle a secondary rotated monitor).

Is there -anything- I can do to help you figure out what's going on here and get these things fixed?

Failing that, what's the simplest workaround to prevent these programs from starting up? I looked at the startup settings and the only obvious option is to turn off kde-guidance... but I'm not sure what else that would kill.

Thanks...
