Bug Description
There are several issues preventing python-mode.el 6.1.1 from working with Xemacs 21.4.22:
1) Use of :safe tag (I commented out references -- seems to fix it)
2) string-to-syntax not defined (I moved the defun up to top -- seems to fix it)
3) "Wrong type argument: arrayp, #s(char-table type syntax data ..." (Sorry, that's more than I wish to tackle)
