system doesn't boot after upgrade

Bug Description

after I upgraded (yesterday) to the new security updated for my ubunto release and then rebooted the system doen't load

when choose the latest release of kernel the screen is blank and a "-" lighting

I have to boot system in recovery mode, then type "enter" to boot system and load "ctrl + d" to load ubuntu (gnome & nautilus)

please check and fix this horrible bug!!!

it takes about 3-4minutes to load the os!
