Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

Sometimes konqueror doesn't resolve news.google.de correctly. It tries to get the site a long time, then telling the connection could not established (Verbindung zu Rechner news.google.com ist unterbrochen)

I can, however access news.google.com via www.google.de, (and also sometimes news.google.com also works directly). News.google.com is only an example, I observed the same problem with other subdomains too.

This problem only occurs in konqueror, the firefox browser seem unaffected.

o Firstly, are you still seeing this?
o Which version of KDE and Kubuntu are you running?
o Are you behind a proxy?

I updatet to kde 3.5.7, and the problem disappeared.

I had the problem with kde 3.5.6 as it's provided with kubuntu feisty.
I'm not behind a proxy.
