Bug Description

When trying to upload image files to e.g. websites like marktplaats.nl (kind of ebay) I get very, very small image thumbnails. There seems no way to enlarge these thumbnails. All options only work if Nautilus is used stand alone, but not with the open file dialog that is being used to upload files.

I have attached a screen dump just to show what I mean.

From Googling around i see that this error could be around for last 9 years without any workaround. My friend that i convinced to using Ubuntu, just asked how to fix it, and i'am pretty sad that i don't have nothing to say to him.

2017 ubuntu 16.04 Unity out of the box. Same thing. Very ugly. It is almost impossible to find necessary files if you have hundreds of them for example in camera folder. Have to open standalone Files window, look for files I need and then find those files by name in Open Files dialog. Very very disappointing thing. I think priority should be increased because this is vital common feature.

Is there ever going to be a fix for this? Everytime I have to attached a picture from a file full of pictures I have to go to my file browser first and make a mental note of the file name. Then when I attached or upload the picture I have to choose based on remembering the filename.

This is mostly fixed in the next development release of Ubuntu. Ubuntu 23.04 is not a Long Term Support release but will be released in April.

I am leaving this issue open because although the thumbnails are larger now, I don't see a way to change the thumbnail size.
