Bug Description

Dell has requested that the latest batch of patches for the mtip32xx driver be applied to Ubuntu. We should get these for free with 13.10.

If possible, Dell would like to have them backported to 13.04, 12.10, and 12.04.2. If 12.10 / 12.04.2 is not possible, then Dell can also wait until 12.04.3 with the HWE kernel from 13.04.

The requested commits are everything after the "Fix padding issue" found here:

Since this is a request via an OEM to backport some patches from upstream, no logs are needed.

Turns out these patches were too invasive to port to 13.04. They do look to be in 13.10 and these should also be available in the 12.04.4 Saucy HWE kernel once it releases in January.

Now that 12.04.4 is out, we can close this as the patches are in the LTS Enablement kernels.
