Ubuntu 13.04 install hangs with "Copying installation logs"

Bug Description
When installing Ubuntu 13.04 amd64 desktop Ubiquity hangs at the end of the installation process with "Copying installation logs...". The install never finishes. I was doing a fresh install on a blank formated disk drive.

It looks like you are trying to install from a USB flash drive with persistent storage enabled, and the persistent filesystem is corrupt. Please try recreating the flash drive and try again.
