Pasting text introduces empty lines

Bug Description
In Pinta 1.4 on Windows 7 64bit:
1. Use the text tool and type "a"
2. Press Enter to create a new line
3. Type another "a"
4. Use Shift + arrow keys to select both text lines
5. Copy with Ctrl+C or cut with Ctrl+X
6. Press Enter to go to a new line
7. Press Ctrl+V to paste the text.
Result: new blank line is introduced in between the pasted lines
Expected: Text is pasted in it's original form
