fontawesome scaling problems on OS X using xelatex

Unlike lualatex, usage of xelatex generates huge icons from fontawesome. I'm using MacTeX 2012, moderncv 1.5.0.

Apparently, a problem with OS X PDF handling. Google Chrome shows everything fine.

Xavier, since you are also the developer of the "fontawesome" package, I have decided to reopen this bug.

Everything I wrote before is true with the following addition: now I'm using MacTeX 2013 pre-test and moderncv 1.5.1.

So, icons from fontawesome package are not properly scaled on OS X when compiling using XeLaTeX (not LuaTeX!).

The problem I describe stands true also for fontawesome.tex from the package distribution.

Since the problem appears to be related only to the rendering of PDFs on Mac, I attach a screenshots, not the resulting PDFs.

I'm using TexLive 2012 on Windows and I got the exact same problem here (moderncv v1.5.1).

The fontawesome icons appears scaled when you visualize the output in Adobe Reader X. The output looks correct in TeXworks and also in Google Chrome. I tried to print the document (from Adobe Reader X) and it is printed incorrectly, just as visualized.

BTW, When I use Adobe Reader X to visualize the PDF atttached by trebler, it also looks incorrect here.

I have disabled the use of fontawesome in the code and the output looks correct again.
