Bug Description

When I have a wireless mouse attached, the mouse settings ("Pointer Speed") do not show up in the "Mouse & Touchpad" settings, only those for Touchpad. Only when I have a corded mouse attached, the Pointer Speed setting shows up. Furthermore, the "Acceleration" setting is always completely missing, for both the Touchpad and the Mouse setting. I tested this with different mice, corded and cordless. The Pointer Speed setting for wireless mice is always missing. I also tested this with a Live system and the problem is there as well.

I had the same problem with a corded Microsoft Comfort Mouse 4500. The setting appears when I plug in a corded Logitech TrackMan Wheel mouse.

Having the same problem with Logitech corded mouse. From what I understand from other sources, the mouse sensitivity and mouse acceleration values have been merged. Since when did Linux start taking away options instead of giving options? Having no ability to disable mouse acceleration is a complete dealbreaker for an otherwise nice and snappy distro.
