The font "FontAwesome" cannot be found.

I tried to use my LaTeX CV with moderncv 1.5.0.

I have this error :

You seem to have not installed the fontawesome package correctly. Check whether FontAwesome.otf is available on your system and that TeX can find it or reinstall it.

wget http://www.tex.ac.uk/tex-archive/fonts/fontawesome/FontAwesome.otf
sudo cp FontAwesome.otf /usr/local/share/fonts/
sudo fc-cache /usr/local/share/fonts

This should work, but it would be better to use the package manager of your TeX installation to install the fontawesome package. It bundles the font, and you will get updates automatically.

Hello Xavier,

i ve got the same problem. How/where do i install FontAwesome.otf on Windows 7?
The installation using MikTex 2.9 Package Manager does not work since the fontawesome package is not available in the repository.
