Bug Description

Glipper's memory usage grows and grows and grows, so at some point, when the whole system gets crippled because of glipper's huge memory usage, I click on glipper's icon and I select "clear" from the menu, but it does absolutely nothing. All the other items in the list keep in the list, and you can select them and paste them. "clear" doesn't clear anything.

However, after killing and restarting glipper (and, to my surprise, finding the list filled with quite a few items), I did "clear" again an this time it worked.

So it's not systematic, and restarting glipper fixes it; however it happens very often.

And even when it does apparently work (meaning the displayed history gets cleared), the memory is not freed!!!!!
