Bug Description
Probably non-fatal, but... I am using Back In Time (BiT) 0.9.26 on Debian stable. I listed a directory in the BiT interface. The directory has in it files with ampersands in the name. BiT produced the following error message:
/usr/share/
gtk.main()

Version 0.9.26 is quite old and this has been fixed in revision 613.2.11. But I'll add Debian to affected Distribution so maybe the package maintainer can backport with this patch
