Bug Description

Binary package hint: avidemux

I don't use avidemux, but I've seen several forum threads where people say movies created with Avidemux don't play sound.

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=450303

"I have three avi clips that I want to combine. I don't want to do any other editing.

I tried Avidemux, but it didn't work. It seemed to combine them, but when I try to play the clip in Totem, it doesn't. There is no sound and if I push play, nothing happens. The original files were mov and I converted them to avi using Mencoder.

Kino won't load my files, and Cinelerra is too complex for what I want to do.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Even just a command line program is fine."

"I have recently captured a screencast with XVidCap, and wish to add another audio track to it. To do this, I have attempted to use Avidemux, which once cleanly added the track but did not save it with the sound."

I had the same problem but it seems to be fixed now. I was using XviD+Vorbis and OGM container for output (input was VOB).
