Need autohide for Main Menu bar

Bug Description
Have found that top menu bar get in the way of Windows and forcing the bottom part of the window off the screen. This often means that menu button are hidden. Some programs will not allow you to resize the windows and this causes problems. Often happens with games running under Ubuntu.
Need a way to autohide or switch off the top menu.
