Bug Description
Powermac MDD FW800 1.25GHz Dual processor 2GB ram ATI Radeon 9800 PRO video (flashed PC card). I'm using a USB thumb drive to startup.
The first thing I did after getting to the desktop was click on the PCManFM icon at the bottom of the display. A window opened showing all the folders. I clicked on the applications icon in the menu at the left. A blank window appeared, followed a few moments later by an error dialog box asking to report the issue automatically.
And that's how I got here. BTW, I am a 25 year Apple user, but a real newbie at linux.

I reported this problem while running off a USB flash drive. Also, I was able to reproduce the problem on an iBook G4, (1.33GHz processor, 1.5 GB Ram, Airport Extreme wifi) laptop.
However, I have since done a complete install on the iBook G4 and have used it for several days. I cannot reproduce the problem. Everything is running well.
