installer hangs on reboot

Bug Description

install xubuntu 13 beta 2 in a vmware vm and installer hangs on reboot after message
"Asking all remaining processes to terminate"

note xubu 12.10 installer also hangs in a similar way

What happens if you press Enter key on the keyboard. Does it reboot then?

yes pressing enter makes it reboot

This is also present in the Lubuntu installer, pressing Enter does cause it to continue.
