Mails stuck in outtray when GMail refuses to deliver

I tried to send a mail which had an attachment which contained an executable file. Due to a security policy, GMail doesn't allow such attachments. Such mails are stuck in the outtray forever. Geary gives no error message nor does it remove the pending mails from the outtray qeue.

This is very similar to a bug we have downstream: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/6200. I've updated the ticket for your specific case.

Geary 0.4 now displays an error in its status bar when this situation occurs, allowing for the user to open the Outbox and remove the offending message. Better error reporting would help, but it's a start.
