Bug Description

The Catalan language translation [1] for Jokosher has been available on Launchpad since 2007-04-12, yet it has not been included on today's 0.9 release (it is not present under the 'locale' folder in the tarball).

I would like to ask the developers to take more into consideration the translators' work. We also put a lot of effort in our translations in order to bring localised applications to the community, yet it happens quite often that the work sent to upstream gets lost or does not make it for a release, even when submitted a long time before release.

I would have thought that Rosetta translations would be an improvement on this, but this does not seem to be the case. Please download the translations from Rosetta before producing a release.

Thanks.

I don't know why this happened, and launchpad helped all it could so don't blame it. The ca translations are in SVN and are everything is in the dist-utils instructions, but for some reason they did not get put into the tarball. This is weird because the ca translations were uploaded to SVN a full week before the final tarball was made. I just tried rebuilding the tarball again and they appear in it. Since I built the released tarball I'm sorry for whatever went wrong. However we will be starting a new QA team which should prevent these issues in the future.

This situation will be taken into account and we will test translations after each major release (betas and rcs including). For now, I will close this bug.
