Bug Description
Sometimes, while during normal desktop use the panel and shell go transparent. See attached screenshot. They are still there, as the tooltips for imaginary shell icons still appear, but there is no way to get the shell back again besides killing it and restarting.
I'm using Unity 2D on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
