Bug Description

I was deleting disc partitions to make space for the Ubuntu installation. I had already removed one partition, and on deleting a second, the installer crashed, giving me the following traceback in a pop-up window:-

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/kde_components/PartitionModel.py", line 111, in parent
    parentItem = childItem.parent()
AttributeError: 'Partition' object has no attribute 'parent'

I then noticed that five identical pop-up windows had appeared, all on top of each other, and containing the same traceback information.

In case it is relevant: The disc had 9 partitions, some primary and some logical, and they weren't arranged in numerical order.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for your reply.
I was using the partition editor within Ubiquity to delete the partitions.
