Bug Description

I just installed Kubuntu on a few computer. I tried installing Chrome by downloading the .deb from Google's website - but got a message saying it was missing required dependencies. (It didn't even tell me what was missing.) I launched the Muon Software Center - but the only choice under "Get Software->Internet->Browsers" was Rekonq.

I gave up, then came back to the computer a few hours later, and everything worked. I'm guessing Kubuntu did not update its software list after the install?

I also noticed that when I clicked on close after configuring software sources, it did not update sources.

As an aside, I find the close button very counterintuitive. The reset button makes perfect sense. Instead, there should be the buttons Reset, Apply, Okay, and Cancel. Normally when it is functioning correctly, it runs through the update sources process even if one makes no changes. This is not desirable behavior, either.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. 11.10 reached EOL on May 9, 2013.
Please see this document for currently supported Kubuntu releases:

Unfortunately this means that there will be no more bugfixes for 11.10. It is also recommended that you upgrade, if you have not already.

Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find, and thanks for your understanding.
