This is also a problem with LibreOffice Version: 5.3.1.2, Build ID: 1:5.3.1-0ubuntu2 on Ubuntu 17.04.

Curiously, this problem only happens with opened Calc files. When creating a new Calc document (yet to be save, close, and reopened) the menu correctly displays "LibreOffice Calc" for the program menu. Once I close and reopen that newly created Calc document the problem occurs; likewise, the problem persists when I save/reopen the old-versioned Calc document.

See attached screenshot.

John, please file a new bug for the LibreOffice issue.

I am closing the Epiphany issue because I cannot reproduce the bug with Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Since Epiphany is in universe and not otherwise supported, support for it in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS has ended now, 3 years after its release. If the bug still affects 14.04 LTS, it might still be able to be included anyway if someone does the work.

Changed in epiphany-browser (Ubuntu):
status: Confirmed → Fix Released
no longer affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu)
