Bug Description
Please backport pycuda 2012.1-1ubuntu3 (multiverse) from raring to precise.
Reason for the backport:
=======
pycuda was included in Debian too late to make it into Precise, but it is a useful package for education where the use of LTS releases is common.
Testing:
========
Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.
You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s raring -d precise pycuda
Backported package available here:
https:/
* precise:
[X] Package builds without modification
[X] python-
[X] python-pycuda installs cleanly and runs
[X] python-pycuda-doc installs cleanly
No reverse dependencies
I think there is no need to backport it to quantal, we can just backport pycuda 2012.1-1ubuntu2.
Have you tested that python-pycuda installs and runs fine on precise?
