Bug Description

This issue may be related to bug #1033533 but as per Maarten Lankhorst's request, I am submitting this as a separate bug.

Boot machine, log into desktop, open Dash Home; X session freezes.
Boot machine, log into desktop, open gedit to assemble Xorg logs for a while; X session freezes.

Xorg.0.log got rotated into Xorg.0.log.old several times while the X session was frozen, but I think I've managed to reconstruct the full log. The point where the Dash Home was opened is marked by "=== OPEN DASH HOME ===" in the log. Rotations are marked by "=== ROTATE LOG ===".

Possibly also of interest is /var/log/lightdm/x-0.log, to be attached shortly.
